NARRATIVE: Disney Princess

Disney Princess
Written by Daniil Kardashev, 11b

Have you ever wished to have totally unforgettable holidays? I certainly had until my birthday in April. Bright morning sunlight shone through the window by my bed when I woke up. I was lying there for a few minutes. Then I recalled about my birthday. I immediately jumped out of the bed and yelled, “MY GIFTS!!!” I noticed, that my parents were extremely hilarious. I understood that it looked like they were up to something and since that time I was peeping for their movements. Long tiring hours had passed before my parents came up to me and told, “We know that you absolutely fond of Disney’s films and cartoons, so we decided to visit Disneyland in Paris at this weekend. What do you think about it?” I gazed at them and began to smile feeling totally fascinated. The gift that has had the most resonance for me and all my birthday parties was my trip to that land of magical castles, princesses in cotton candy frills, and electric-light parades!!!

After the boring and exhausting journey, we reached a hotel by the main entrance gates. They were enormous and I felt tiny, when I looked at them. There was a gigantic map, using which you could can figure out where you needed to go and where you were now. I noticed an enormous castle in the center of the park. People heard wails of a girl from the top. “Please, I need some help. Somebody, save me!”

My heart started pounding faster and faster. Like a real fairy-tale hero I exclaimed, “I will save you, my princess!” Furious feelings overwhelmed me. I dashed, as quickly as possible, and in ten minutes I was by her door. My legs were exhausted, but I wanted to look at the princess. When I came in, she giggled and approached me. I didn’t understand absolutely anything, but I was brave and wanted to kiss the princess, and she wasn’t against. Finally, I remember only one sentence that she uttered. We were standing very closely and she leaned to me and told, “Hey, hey… Get up!! Quickly!! You will be late for school!!” It was the best and the worst sleep in all my childhood and I need some sleep at the moment…
