My Favorite Teacher in Grammar School 2
Created by Lisa Streseva, 9c

Among the teachers who have taught me through my school life Tatiana Leonidovna Shkabura is the one I admire most. She has been teaching me the Ukrainian literature and language for 4 years. Also she is our form mistress.

I`ll never forget the first time I met her. She came to visit us when we were in the 4th form. I took to her at once. It wasn`t long before I realized how enthusiastic and funny she was.

I am really amazed at her patience because our class is a bit crazy but that moments when she loses temper can be counted on fingers. I adore her creativity and unbelievable energy because she always invents interesting things for school events. She sets a good example for us because she is fair and always supportive even in the smallest beginnings. She can rejoice with you if you get a good mark or sincerely congratulate you when you tell her how you won at competitions not related to school. I strongly believe that good relationships are the key to effective learning and if students respect the teacher they will do their best to learn the subject. Our teacher always sees our point of view even if it is strange or crazy. She never hurts our feelings, she can only make some sarcastic comments but they never hurt someone. We can always tell her how we feel and she always listens to our problems and tries to help. Tatiana Leonidovna gives all students a lot of support and praise even not from our class.

I always look forward to her lesson. If Tatiana Leonidovna sees that no one understands her or all students get bored she repeats explanations again and again or explains boring material in an interesting way. We and all classes feel comfortable at her lessons. Her door is always open for consultations or for the students who want to retake the test and improve the mark. Sometimes at holidays she makes free electives and explains the material on a more advanced level. She keeps strict discipline without yelling or being rude.

I feel fortunate to be taught by Tatiana Leonidovna. She gave me vast knowledge of the Ukrainian literature and language. But what is more important she made a great impact on my personality and shaped my character. I shall always be grateful Tatiana Leonidovna for comfort advice and support she gave me whenever I needed.
