I Am a Human And a Human Can Be Wrong Sometimes
by Kate Korolenko, 9a

Among the teachers who have taught me through my school life Olga Mikhailovna is the one I admire most. She has been teaching me physics for three years. I’ll never forget the first time I met her. I took to her not at once and it wasn’t long before I realized how clever and funny she was. She possesses such qualities essential for a good teacher as enthusiasm and sense of humor. I am really amazed at her unbelievable energy. I adore how reasonably demanding she is. She sets a good example for us because of her tolerance and patience.

I strongly believe that good relationships are the key to effective learning and if students respect the teacher they will do their best to learn the subject. In my opinion, Olga Mikhailovna is easy and pleasant to deal with. She is always ready to explain again for those who don’t understand the topic and also she respects our opinion. Once she said "I am a teacher, so I am always right, aren’t I? No, because first of all I am a human and a human can be wrong sometimes". Generally, she is polite and tactful with us but sometimes she can lose temper and start to lecture. She often gives students a lot of support and praise and tells jokes to liven the lesson. What I like about her is that she doesn’t play favourites and gives everyone a chance to get a good mark.

I always look forward to her lessons. The atmosphere she creates at her lessons is comfortable. Also I really like the way she presents and checks material. She can easily explain the most boring material in an interesting way. She gives excellent examples of complex phenomena at the "housewives’ level". Olga Mikhailovna has vast knowledge of the subject and she is always ready to share her experience with us. What I like most is how organized she is. She always grades papers and announces results on time. Nevertheless, Olga Mikhailovna has some weaknesses. She easily gets angry. She needs constant attention at her lesson so those unfourtunate ones who are distracted at her lesson can be punished. Actually, she can keep strict discipline without yelling or being rude but on really bad days she even can complain to parents about our misbehavior or bad marks.

In conclusion, I feel fortunate to be taught by Olga Mikhailovna. She gave me vast knowledge of physics. But what is more important, she made a great impact on my personality and shaped my character. I shall always be grateful for confidence she gave me.
