What can I say, guys? It took me time “to digest” everything you’ve written for this entry in our blog.
Believe me, it was not easy, but it was SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUSLY useful.
So, first of all, great sincere THANKS to everyone who took pains to express your thoughts honestly and frankly.
Also I would like to assure you that the fact that nobody likes to be controlled and told what to do is nothing new. Everyone survived – you will definitely survive too. Reading your rules, I vividly recollected my university years when I lived in a student’s hostel. How we hated all regulations and limitations! Now most of them seem sensible. What’s wrong about such rules as no smoking and no alcohol, no noisy parties after midnight and no male guests who didn’t live in our hostel? Definitely, nothing. However, then it made us really furious. We even had a sort of “anthem” that was played dozens of times at each of our discos – Pink Floyd’s Another Brick in the Wall from the Wall, 1980 which is definitely worth listening to as well as the whole album.
Finally, even if now you feel too rebellious to listen to teachers and parents, may be you will find sense in the words of two wise people. The first one is my graduate Yuriy Simakin, class of 2014 (you all quoted him when you learnt the topic about the school rules, remember? “To my mind, the evolution of a student’s attitude to school in general and its rules in particular can be described like this. First grade - I love to go to school. Second grade - I hate to go to school. Fifth grade - I have to go to school. Tenth grade - I must go to school. Eleventh grade - oh, school, why do we have to leave you?” Y. Simakin) and the second one doesn’t need any introductions.

Английский я начал учить буквально с детского сада. Так как мама по профессии и призванию учитель, я был отдан на курсы английского языка за год до школы и учился там вплоть до перехода во вторую гимназию (59 школу) во втором классе. Уже тогда я почувствовал преимущества знания английского, так как на уроках мне попадалось буквально пару новых слов, в то время как одноклассники корпели над новой лексикой. В шестом классе я попал в группу к Марии Евгеньевне и тогда моя судьба была предопределена! Я до сих пор помню многие устные темы, а речевые обороты из них навеки засели у меня в голове. Только сейчас я понимаю насколько разносторонней и эффективной была система обучения - кроме стандартного ведения словарей и открытия скобок в сборниках Галицинского, мы читали и пересказывали английские книги, презентовали собственные проекты и разыгрывали пьесы.
Кроме школы в девятом десятом классе я ходил в American English centre, где занятия с носителем и просмотр фильмов расширили для меня горизонт применения английского языка от академического к повседневному.
В одиннадцатом классе я сдал ЗНО по английскому на 194 балла, при том что подготовкой занимался только в школе и самостоятельно, без репетиторов и курсов.

Немудрено, что советы от такого человека несут в себе огромный смысл и огромную пользу, особенно, если им следовать.
Жизнь несправедлива – привыкните к этому! У многих людей есть такая вредная привычка, постоянно уповать на несправедливость. А кто сказал, что всё должно быть иначе? Гораздо проще будет идти по жизни, приняв за правило отсутствие оной.
Миру наплевать на вашу самооценку. Жизнь будет требовать от Вас закончить дело ДО того, как Вы почувствуете себя уверенно. Мир ждёт от тебя действий. И любому человеку когда-то пришлось начинать всё с нуля, не чувствуя при этом особой уверенности.
Вы не будете получать 60 000$ в год сразу после школы. Вы не станете вице-президентом компании со спутниковым телефоном в машине, прежде чем Вы заработаете на них. Это проблема практически всех школьников. И как обидно потом снимать розовые очки, так зачем же их нужно было надевать? Следует понять, что всё в жизни нужно сначала заслужить. Вы считаете, что ваш учитель слишком требователен? Вы ещё не видели вашего босса и не были им сами! В отличие от первого, карьера второго напрямую зависит от ваших действий. А ваш учитель просто хотел вас чему-нибудь научить.
Продавать гамбургеры не ниже вашего достоинства. Ваши дедушки и бабушки использовали другое слово для раздачи котлет – они называли это Возможностью. Умный человек не боится никакой работы, он делает её, получает опыт и стремится к чему-то большему.
Если вы сели в лужу, это не вина ваших родителей, не хнычьте, учитесь на ошибках. Ваши родители и так сделали для вас очень много, вряд ли вы когда-нибудь сможете им это возместить. Ваши ошибки – это ваши ошибки. Их не нужно бояться – на них нужно учиться.
До вашего рождения ваши родители не были такими занудами, как сейчас. Они стали ими, оплачивая ваши счета, стирая вашу одежду, и выслушивая ваши рассуждения о себе любимом. Поэтому прежде, чем начнете спасать мир от поколения своих родителей, вычистите сортир в собственной комнате. Вот это беда абсолютно всех детей. И эта истина даётся им с большим трудом. Ваша школа, может быть, и покончила с делением на лидеров и неудачников, но жизнь НЕТ. В некоторых школах не ставят плохих оценок и дают вам столько попыток, сколько вам требуется для правильного ответа. Это не имеет НИЧЕГО общего с реальной жизнью.
Жизнь не поделена на семестры. У вас не будет летних каникул и найдется немного работодателей, которые заинтересованы в том, чтобы вы НАШЛИ СЕБЯ. Ищите за свой счет! Телевидение - это НЕ реальная жизнь. В действительности людям обычно приходится ходить на работу, а не сидеть за столиком кафе. Будьте обходительны с зубрилками и ботаниками. Не исключено, что вскоре вы будете работать на одного из них. Как это очень часто бывает. Да и вообще, связи с другими людьми очень полезны, никто не знает, кем станете вы, а кем – ваши одноклассники

During all 11 years students constantly complain about meaningless rules and restrictions. But what if we traded places with teachers? Would the universe explode or become a better place for all? Let`s imagine the world where teachers needed to follow ridiculous rules, that were made up by pupils. Let`s start with discipline. In this world every teacher must be punished if he or she raises their voice to 90-110 decibel. Teenagers get scared when someone shouts at them, so any scream would be forbidden. If that rule is violated, teacher is obliged to apologize in front of all pupils, for what they have done. For teachers’ sarcastic comment and humiliation pupils can obtain monetary compensation, including for moral harm suffered. Bulling is a terrible thing and every human needs to fight with it.
Secondly, having items that aren`t necessary for the lesson isn`t permitted, schoolmaster has rights to take them away and return them only to teacher`s parents. As all pupils have to wear school uniform, then teachers are required to do so as well. They ought to wear green jackets with their school symbol and completely abandon fashionable clothing. I regret to inform but for violating this rule schoolmaster will lower teacher`s salary. Teachers are allowed to eat in dining room with other pupils or cook for themselves if they want to. They are not allowed to make tea in the classrooms, because they have to drink it in the school canteen, even if it`s not tasty at all.

I study in of the best schools in our town. I really like getting education at the Grammar school 2. I am taught by experienced teachers. They give me vast knowledge of all subjects, both exact and humanitarian.
School life is difficult not only for students. Students complain about rules that they have to follow. Teachers also have their rules to follow. In our school rules for teachers are the following.

Throughout our lives, rules surround us. They are important both for schoolchildren and for teachers who give them a good example. I think it’s worth highlighting the most important ones that sometimes some teachers do not comply with.
First of all, it's worth talking about culture. Pedagogues must respect the feelings of each student, they mustn't do any kind of bullying/use offensive language... It is strictly forbidden to insult other students and members of the school staff, to humiliate their honor and dignity. Secondly, educators mustn’t underestimate student due to any personal hostility or a bad opinion about student. Lecturers mustn’t insult student or switch to a personality of a student, thus insulting student. Also, educationalists are required to treat all students equally, without playing favourites.

There are many rules for students to follow. Most of these rules are really important, but there are also rules that some particular teachers came up with. And I find these rules strange and useless.
Sometimes I think: “What rules would I come up with for teachers if I had such an opportunity?”What teachers would say if they had rules invented by students and children? If I could I would add rules such as:
- If the teacher and student have a problem, they should sit in a separate room and discuss all possible solutions to the problem. They are not allowed to scream at each other.
- The teacher ought to understand that students are not robots and that they may make mistakes.

We all know the rules, duties, and what pupils and teachers in school should fulfill. We don’t want to constantly follow the rules, because we don’t like to be controlled. I am sure that students do not agree with many of the rules that teachers impose. I decided that we need to come up with new rules that can be FUNNY, but every student would like them.
Here is my TOP of the best rules from students for teachers:
- Teachers should not scream at the children. Now there are many stories when staff yell at school because s/he does not know or forgot something. I think this is wrong.
- Admitting your mistakes is normal. Everyone can make a mistake, this is not good, but there is nothing wrong with that. Many teachers think that they are perfect, but if they agreed with their mistake, the children would respect them more.

There are many worthy and useful professions in the world. One of the most important fields nowadays is education. That’s why teachers are respected worldwide. Each teacher has rights and duties that have been spelled out for a long time. I am going to present you new rules for teachers.
• I know that students often get tired at the lessons. I suggest a 5-minute rest or to do some exercises. Usually teachers allow us to do exercises only when the principal is sitting at the lesson.
