HEALTH CARE IN UKRAINE: Daniil Kardashov, 11b

Health Care in Ukraine
(How I feel it)

Daniil Kardashov’s second attempt – definitely more successful – good material for SEMESTER TEST WRITING

Everybody knows, that our country has a lot of problems in politics, economics, health care and other areas of activity. And I would like to speak about Ukrainian medicine: about its doctors, pharmaceuticals , disgusting hospitals and terrible ambulances, about corruption, which is widespread in our time and other kinds of problems in our health care system. And at first, I would like to note notice, that a huge number of children want to be doctors in their future life. Is it a good choice?! Is it very hard?!

Sure, it is a very hard job, as you will be studying at in a medical university from 4 to 7 years. Also you are going to learn complicated sciences, like anatomy, biochemistry, botany, arachnology and etc. Are you sure you will cope with the workload? More than 70 percent of students in medical colleges and universities, like to waste time by playing at on the lessons or even missing them. Also, I would like to add that, all the pharmaceuticals which were created in Ukraine are not as good as their analogues copy of foreign production. They are very cheap because they contain only base ingredients. In my country, there is a huge amount of deceivers, who are thinking only about money, and who can create such “poison”. You will be hoping for fast recovery, but it will only exacerbate.

Don’t forget about the dreadful state of our ambulances… I remember the situation, when I broke my arm. I was lying on the mats for 30 minutes, and there was no help. I couldn’t even get up, but when the ambulance arrived, I was shocked by the way I was delivered to the hospital. You can believe me or not, but we were riding along the rails at a high speed. It was disgusting, and now I hate our health care system.

But I hope, that everything will change, because of entering into European Union. Our standards will be higher, and people will be working more and more to make our country more developed and comfortable for living. And also, summing up everything I’ve told, I would like to make a conclusion, that it is difficult to be a good doctor, as you can destroy somebody’s life and your own as well if you make a wrong decision.
