Welcome To Greece with Marina Ikonomu, 8a
I would like to tell about the most memorable journey in my life. Two years ago my parents and I went on a journey to Greece. The place impressed me a lot. Greece is a real paradise with golden beaches and palm trees. There are some world famous attractions, such as Parthenon, Red Tower and others. Holiday-makers will never forget clear, warm sea. Visitors to Greece will enjoy listening to exciting excursions and the legends. We were lucky to spend three months at this magnificent holiday destination.
The accommodation was unforgettable. We stayed with my Granny who lives in Katerini in Greece. Her house is big and fabulous. My room was well-kept, with many conveniences such as: a big, cozy bed, gorgeous bath room, fast Wi-Fi and large TV. My room faced Olympus. Our house was just near the beach so it didn`t take us a long time to get to the sea.
My everyday activities were really enjoyable. After we got up we went to the beach. There we did a lot of swimming, sunbathing. So we had great tans. I also collected stones. Sometimes I went fishing. From 12 till 4 pm we stayed at home. In the evening we went shopping. In the afternoon we ate out, drank refreshing cocktails, ice tea and delicious ice cream. In the cafes we listened to live music. We walked till late night.
One day we decided to explore Athens and to go on a guided tour to Parthenon.
The first place we stopped at was Meteors. The next city on the tour was Athens. It is famous for its magnificent Red Tower. Athens has some incredible attractions, for example St. Paraskevia spring of youth. We also visited the Parthenon. Finally, we went to world famous Olympus. I enjoyed visiting ancient Greek sights.
I enjoyed my journey because it had everything: exciting excursions, delicious food, magnificent beaches and clear, warm water. I`m sure the place is worth visiting and I strongly advise you to do it.
