Welcome to Prague with Artur Shamyan, 8a
I would like to tell about the most memorable journey in my life. Last winter my mother and I went to a chess tournament to the Czech Republic. Prague impressed me a lot. Prague is famous for its unforgettable historical places. It is real paradise with magnificent natural sights. It has some famous attractions such as Charles Bridge.
Holiday-makers will never forget the marvelous view of the city. Visitors to Prague will also enjoy guided tours with professional experienced guides. I was impressed by the view of the river Vltava from Charles Bridge. It was really fascinating. We were lucky to spend a fortnight at this unforgettable holiday destination.
The accommodation was luxurious. We stayed at the five-star hotel Olympic. The service was excellent. The staff was polite and helpful. Our hotel room was comfortable. It had all conveniences such as shower, large comfortable beds and so on. Our room faced the city centre. The tournament, in which I took part, took place in the hotel Olympic, so it didn't take us long to get the play room.
In Prague we walked every day. We did a lot of walking in the city centre. We often did shopping in the brand stores. There are a lot of gift shops, and I often visited them and bought some lovely souvenirs for my relatives. We often ate out on old town square. In the evenings we went sightseeing. We visited many museums. In museums I saw some absolutely fascinating exhibits. Sometimes we relaxed in open air cafes. But, of course, most of the time I spent training and playing chess. The tournament was very hard. After each game I walked or just relaxed.
One day after the game my mother and I decided to make a guided tour. So, the first place we stopped at was Charles Bridge. It is famous for its incredible history. I enjoyed the magnificent view of the river Vltava. There I saw many interesting historical sights. It is really my favorite place. We saw a lot of fascinating places on the tour. So, I will never forget it.
To cap it all I can say that I enjoyed my journey because it had everything: magnificent places, luxurious accommodation and fine company. I'm sure the place is worth visiting and I strongly advise you to do it!
