JOIN THE GLOBE TROTTERS: Tour of Your Dream

Welcome to Miami with Alice Holovchenko, 8a

I would like to tell about the most memorable journey in my life. Last year in autumn my parents and I went on a holiday to the USA. America is famous for its holiday destinations located on the ocean coasts and well-kept sandy beaches. It is real paradise with palm trees and high-rise buildings. Visitors to Disneyland and Universal Studio will also enjoy these unforgettable sights. Miami has some famous attractions: ice-cream museum, houses of famous stars and the lightest street in Florida. We were lucky to spend a fortnight at this unforgettable holiday destination.

The accommodation was world-class. We stayed at a five-star hotel. I lived with my friend Sophia from Khmelnitsky. The service was enjoyable, also the manager of the hotel is from Kharkiv, so if we had problems we went to him. The hotel was located on the beach near other hotels and famous shops and restaurants with tasty seafood. It didn’t take us long to get to the city center and the biggest shopping mall. From our balcony we could admire an amazing view of the ocean and red sunsets in the morning. Our room had a big bed with the view of the ocean, a TV, a little kitchen and a spacious bathroom.

In Orlando we visited Disneyland where we bought ears of Mickey Mouse and souvenirs for our relatives and friends. We had dinner in the most popular restaurant in America in Cinderella’s castle in Disneyland. It was amazing! In the evening we went to wander about the city and ate traditional food - burgers in the most popular café in Orlando. Also we visited Universal Studio. There we went on one of the most scary American roller coaster in the world, danced to live music and had an excellent good time.

In Miami we relaxed near the ocean and went to the beach every day. We did a lot of sunbathing, swimming and jumped in the big waves; we caught crabs and fed birds with croissants; also we played beach volleyball with American teenagers from New York, San Francisco, Washington, Los Angeles and other towns – it was great fun; in the evenings we went to the beach parties in our hotel. Also in Miami we ate traditional seafood in restaurants. One day we went to one of the most popular shopping malls in America with very famous shops. In the center of Miami we also went to different clothes and souvenir shops; also there we tasted traditional food of different countries. These were marvelous days!

I really had the time of my life. The trip left me healthy, delighted and filled with amazing stories and enjoyable memories!
