  Hello, Rob,

I’m spending a fortnight in Austria, Lech. This is a lovely winter resort, where my family and I got on last Monday. This is an absolute fairyland with white bright snow and tall pines. We are staying at a four-star hotel. This is a spacious house with lots of warm rooms and a gorgeous new-year tree in the middle of the hall. Every room is decorated with colorful garlands and marvelous Christmas toys. Austria becomes impressive in winter, every day it snows here and cold refreshing wind blows. I feel cheerful and my New Year mood doesn’t leave me every day.

I think I am having a fantastic time. I have already learnt how to ski and now I am not afraid to ride even from the highest hill. Also I have drunk cocoa in local restaurant and it was the most tasty cocoa I`ve ever drank, because it warmed me from the inside. However we haven`t been on a hike yet, but my mom said that we would do it in two days. Last night we were watching firework displays, but my dog was afraid of them, so he was barking all the time. In spite of it, we had admired the show.

Shopping in this town is not one of the main things, but every souvenir and clothes were made with love to tourists. My mom and I have bought three cozy and warm sweaters: one for dad, one for mom and one for me. Of course, we hadn`t forgotten about my dog and we bought him a cute blue ski suit.

Well, I must get some sleep now because we always leave early in the morning for the ride.
