JOIN THE GLOBE TROTTERS: Mystic Red Sea Tour

Welcome to Sharm el Sheikh with Polina Ivanova, 8c

I would like to tell about the most memorable journey in my life. I’m fond of travelling. I’ve got a dream to travel all over the world. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about other countries, other people and other cultures and to make new friends.

Last year my parents and I went on journey to Egypt to Sharm el Sheikh. The place impressed me a lot. Sharm is famous for its fantastic resorts and luxurious hotels. It is a real paradise with crystal sapphire sea, well-kept sandy beaches and endless coral reefs with numerous fascinating fish. There are no world class museums, art galleries and exhibitions in Sharm but tourists can visit many interesting guided tours with experienced guides, for example, to Cairo to see the legendary Pyramids and other unforgettable historical places. Holiday-makers will never forget exciting evening entertainments and delicious meals at traditional restaurants. We were lucky to spend a fortnight at this unforgettable holiday destination.

We stayed at a luxurious five-star hotel with a high-class service. The hotel was located right on the seashore so it didn’t take us long to get to the beach. Our hotel room was really comfortable with fashionable modern furniture and equipment and spacious balcony facing the sea so we could admire an amazing view.

The weather was marvelous so we went to the beach every day. We could do a lot of swimming, bathing and sunbathing. We had great tans. But the most impressive was snorkeling from the pantone near the coral reef. It was an inexpressible experience! It was like diving in a giant magic aquarium! We saw into the abyss watching thousands of fascinating fishes. Also we went for a walk on the bathyscaphe. We saw the large mystic rays, sharks and other underwater inhabitants. Every evening we listened to live music, watched entertainers, danced and enjoyed ourselves. We went to Soho Square - local center for tourists with plenty of gift shops which sell traditional souvenirs. There we admired the so called singing fountains. That was a really beautiful show with music, flame and colorful lights. By the way, the time of our trip coincided with the mango season in Egypt. It was the most delicious mango I had ever eaten. I doubt that one can buy the same somewhere else.

One day we decided to make a boat trip along the Red Sea coast. We saw the most beautiful bays. Adults could go scuba diving but children were not allowed. I was very sad. Next time I will surely go! It was a marvelous day!

I enjoyed my journey because it had everything: golden beaches, incredible sapphire sea, fascinating fishes and unforgettable new impressions. I’m sure the place is worth visiting and I strongly advise you to do it.
