The Teacher I Admire Most
By Ani Kupradze, 9c

Among the teachers who have taught me through my school life Tatyana Leonidovna is the one I admire most. She has been teaching me Ukrainian literature for 4 years.

I`ll never forget the first time I met her. It was in 4th grade. She said that she would be our form mistress. I took to her at once. It wasn`t long before I realized how firm and fair she was. She possesses such qualities essential for a good teacher as creativity, patience, tolerance. I respect her because she has an unbelievable energy. She is supportive but she is reasonably strict. I appreciate her because not all teachers can tell jokes to liven the lesson. She sets a good example for us because she is organized and she is always ready for our lessons while our students sometimes don`t want to do HW.

I strongly believe that good relationships are the key to effective learning and if students respect the teacher they will do their best to learn subject. In my opinion, Tatyana Leonidovna is easy and pleasant to deal with. She always listens to our problems and tries to help. I appreciate Tatyana Leonidovna because she cheers us up when we are in a bad mood. She doesn`t hurt our feelings and doesn`t humiliate us. I appreciate our teacher because she gives students a lot of support and praise. She has never ignored our opinion. And in general she tries very hard to please us.

I always look forward to her lessons. I feel comfortable in the atmosphere she creates at her lessons. She speaks clearly and we understand new themes. Tatyana Leonidovna can explain boring material with in positive attitude. Our teacher can keep strict discipline without yelling or being rude. Tatyana Leonidovna has vast knowledge of the subject. She carefully prepares for every lesson, sometimes she shows us some useful videos from her computer. She has always time for students out of class. But sometimes she can complain to parents about our misbehavior and bad marks. I appreciate that Tatyana Leonidovna grades papers on time while other teachers cannot check out tests for weeks. It was a hint at our math teacher. I like that our teacher never assigns tasks without explaining.

I feel fortunate to be taught by Tatyana Leonidovna. She gave me vast knowledge of Ukrainian literature. But what is more important, she made a great impact on my personality and shaped my character. I shall always be grateful for advice and support she gave me whenever I needed. Tatyana Leonidovna helped me discover my talents. So, I am very thankful to Tatyana Leonidovna for everything she has done for us.
