The Teacher I Admire Most
By Alice Golovchenko, 9a

Among the teachers who have taught me through my school life Oksana Viktorovna is the one I admire the most. She has been teaching me the German language for 4 years.

I`ll never forget the first time I met her. Her son was my classmate, so she went with him on trips with our class. I thought she was very cheerful, kind, sincere, cheerful. When I learned that she would teach me German, I was very happy. I took to her at once. But it was long before I realized how clever and kind she was. She possesses such qualities essential for a good teacher as tolerance, patience and she is reasonably strict. I am really amazed at her creativity and unbelievable energy. I appreciate her enthusiasm and organization. I also adore her sense of humour and reasonably demanding. She sets a good example for us because she is firm, supportive, understanding, respectful and fair.

I strongly believe that good relationships are the key to effective learning and if students respect the teacher they will do their best to learn the subject. In my opinion, Oksana Viktorovna is easy and pleasant to deal with. She treats all pupils with respect. She sees our point of view and doesn’t ignore our opinion. She is polite and tactful, because she never humiliates any of us or hurts our feelings. She is caring, she always listens to our problems and tries to help. She is fair, because she doesn’t play favourites and gives students a lot of support and praise. Also, she always cheers each of us up when we are in a bad mood.

I always look forward to her lessons. We feel comfortable in the atmosphere she creates at her lessons. Oksana Viktorovna gives all of us a chance to do work at our own pace. She keeps strict discipline without yelling or being rude, but punishes pupils who don`t work hard enough and complains to parents about our misbehavior and bad marks. She always carefully prepares for every lesson, comes to the lessons with a positive attitude, explains boring material in an interesting way and gives us creative tasks. The teacher grades papers, announces results on time and never makes us write tests without giving us a chance to revise or assign tasks without explaining.

I feel fortunate to be taught by Oksana Viktorovna. She gave me vast knowledge of Germany. But what is more important, she made a great impact on my personality and shaped my character. I shall always be grateful because she to helped me discover my talents.
