The Teacher I Admire Most

Among the teachers who have taught me through my school life Utkina Nadezhda Yurievna is the one I admire most. She has been teaching me Biology for almost 4 years.

I`ll never forget the first time I met her. I was really amazed at how organized she was. I took to her at once. It wasn`t long before I realized how supportive and understanding she was. I respect her because she is reasonably demanding and fair. Nadezhda Yurievna also possesses such essential qualities for a good teacher as tolerance and patience.

I strongly believe that good relationships are the key to effective learning and if students respect the teacher they will do their best to learn the subject. In my opinion, Nadezhda Yurievna is easy and pleasant to deal with. Nadezhda Yurievna always treats me with respect. She is also very polite and tactful. She doesn`t make sarcastic comments in class and rarely yells at us. She is also caring. She often gives pupils support and praise. Nadezhda Yurievna as every teacher plays favourites, but it doesn`t affect our marks, so she is always fair. My teacher never hurts my feelings and doesn`t interrupt me while I am talking. She also tries to share her experience with us. I trust Nadezhda Yurievna, she always listens to my problems and tries to help me. To be honest, I didn’t like biology at first, but then Nadezhda Yurievna noticed that I could be good at biology and began to give me support. Since that time I decided to learn biology and now it is my favourite lesson. I take part in biology olympiads and win top places.

I always look forward to her lessons. I come to every biology lesson with positive attitude. I always feel comfortable in the atmosphere Nadezhda Yurievna creates at her lessons. She keeps strict discipline without yelling or being rude. However, sometimes she can threaten to call parents. My biology teacher always explains important material in an interesting way. She speaks clearly and gives unusual and bright examples to help us understand. She has really vast knowledge of the subject and makes us think. To be honest, I cannot say that every student is taught differently. There are some tasks and information which every student is able to do. That is why she always tells us when we will have tests, to make every student be able to prepare.

I feel fortunate to be taught by Nadezhda Yurievna. She gave me vast knowledge of Biology. But what is more important, she made a great impact on my personality and shaped my character. I shall always be grateful for advice and support she gave me whenever I needed, for making me work up to my capacity and for raising my self-esteem.
