As for me, at present I consider becoming a brand designer. There are many advantages and disadvantages to doing this kind of job. One of the main advantages of being a brand designer is that this type of designer’s job is rewarding for me. I think that I will never say that this job is boring, because it is so interesting to create a logo and visual design for a company, that is, what makes the first impression on others. Furthermore, it is freelance work, you can make logotypes (and other designs) when you can, the main thing in this work is quality, and the time in which you perform the tasks. In addition to that, to be a brand designer is very prospective work, because people, who can draw, create something new are in demand in every sphere. Furthermore designer’s work is well-paid.

On the other hand, there are disadvantages to becoming a brand designer. Firstly, it is sedentary work, and spoils eyesight; this is a huge threat/hazard to health, because all time you have to sit in front of the monitor. Moreover, this work can be annoying; if you make many mistakes you will lose temper. The second problem is that if customer doesn’t like the sketch you have to redesign it. Besides that, to be a brand designer is exhausting work because to imagine (to give out) something new isn’t a simple matter, it is hard work, because you must know all about this type of job. Furthermore, someone can plagiarize your designs and ideas. In addition to that, if you are not popular, your work will be cheaper than people’s who are well-known.

Also, I know that a good professional in this sphere must be patient because he has to imagine many sketches, and he can make many mistakes or if he comes across a rude customer he needs to be calm. Every designer should be creative and skillful. Brand designer must be responsible because to create a logo is very hard work. You must be reliable as the future of company depends on you.

All things considered, becoming a brand designer is a good idea for me because in my opinion, I’m suited for this occupation. First of all, I am aware of all the difficulties involved. In addition to that, I am creative, reliable and skillful. Moreover, I am interested in history and mathematics. Finally, I am good at drawing, inventing, creating something… Anyway, I still have some years ahead to make a final choice. But now I know for sure that I must focus on such subjects as history of art, history of Ukraine, Math, Ukrainian language because they will be necessary for my future career.
