As for me, at present I consider becoming a lawyer. I want to follow in the footsteps of my mother, so I have the first hand information about this profession as my mom has shared her experience with me. There are many advantages and disadvantages to doing this kind of job.
One of the main advantages of being a lawyer is that this job is always in demand. People always have disagreements and want to solve them in a right way. However, not all people know how to deal with them properly. So, they will ask for help a qualified lawyer. Furthermore, if you are a lawyer you will never get in trouble because of the ignorance of the law. You will always feel safe if you know how to defend yourself. In addition to that, lawyer is a well-paid job.
On the other hand, there are disadvantages to becoming a lawyer. Firstly, it can be dangerous enough. Lawyer always defends one side of the disagreement and that is why the other side can try to remove the person who defends their enemies. Of course, it doesn`t happen often but such a situation is possible. Moreover, lawyers always work overtime. They always think about solving this or that situation and they don`t get a cash award for overworking. Besides that, to become a qualified lawyer you must study for 4 or more years in a university. As for me, it is long enough however it's worth it.
Also, I know that a good professional in this sphere must be patient and calm because sometimes solving the disagreement may last for years. You also need to be skillful if you want to become a lawyer as it is impossible to get this job if you don`t know the laws. It is important to be logical to be able to find a decision even of the most difficult problems.
All things considered, becoming a lawyer is a good choice for me because in my opinion, I`m suited for this occupation. First of all, I am aware of all the difficulties and risks involved. In addition to that, I am logical enough and patient. Moreover, I adore the science of law. I am good at helping people to resolve their conflicts. Moreover, at present I am interested in this job more than anybody else, as my family has got in a trouble and I wish I could help my mom to get out of it. If I were a lawyer I would be able to help her, I would be able to save the money she spends on lawyers, I would be able to give her advice, I would be able to keep her healthier. However, I cannot do this and that is why I want to become a lawyer not to feel useless anymore.
