I have recently read the book under the title The HOW TO BE BRITISH collection. The book was written by Martyn Ford and Peter Legon. The scene is laid in Great Britain.

This book tells about what rules every tourist should know, and what kind of character the British have, their rules of life, their home life ... I also learned a lot of interesting facts about the British, about how tea appeared in their culture, how to prepare Fish and Chips, how they drive on the roads, the rules of greeting and even how they sleep. I liked the following chapters most: 9, 21, 24 because in my opinion they are the most interesting. Chapter 9 Pronunciation. This topic is very interesting because thanks to it you can develop your diction, and learn to speak English correctly and quickly. If you learn at least a couple of these tongue twisters, then your speech will be more melodic. Because the main thing – it is not important what you say if other people cannot understand you.

Chapter 21 Pets. People say that pets are members of a family, but in Britain the situation is much more interesting than ours, because they have absolutely everything for animals that comes from treats ending with toys. In my opinion it is great when there is a large selection. How I would like the inhabitants of our country to treat animals with love and affection. Cause every animal is worthy of love.

I also really liked chapter 24 because it describes how, where and with what to eat Fish and Chips. This dish is the oldest takeaway fast food in the UK, possibly in the world. It’s just a treat for every tourist, as well as for locals who also love to eat. The main thing is not to forget to sprinkle with salt and pour vinegar! Eat this dish while walking along the street, preferably in the dark and with a light drizzling fall. In general, there is no sense in describing this dish, you just have to try it in a restaurant in Britain.

While reading a book “The HOW TO BE BRITISH collection” I learned a lot of new things, this book is full of interesting and fascinating facts, it directly attracts you, and its interesting illustrations of humorous nature will not leave you indifferent. And even if you don’t like to read books, you will definitely understand this book, it is very easy to read, you will not get bored with it!
