My Future Job
Anastasia Bychenko,7d

So, what do I know about TV presenter’s job? Until this moment I have never thought what I want to be. And it’s a difficult question for me and I really don’t know what job I will choose in future. But I can say exactly when I found out about this profession. But I remember that my first emotion when I saw the travel show was surprise. I didn’t know that there are people whose profession is to travel. It’s a very interesting job because people travel around the world and see different countries, their culture. They try new food and enjoy their nature. Viewers like the travelers and many people recognize them in the streets. Who knows maybe in future I will fulfill my childhood dream and travel a lot.

To be successful, a TV presenter should be very clever. He must know many languages to speak with local residents of different cities and countries. He also should be sociable to speak with people and find out interesting facts. TV presenter has to be merry because the viewers want to see smiling faces and to hear jocks. He must be energetic because a TV presenter has many adventures in the mountains, in jungles and even on icebergs. They also have to be hardworking to work long hours. Travelers should be patient and hardy because not always they work in a warm studio. They work in the cold and in the heat.

Travel TV presenter has to work at night or at the weekends because the viewers can’t wait to see the new program release. He also has to spend much time far from friends and relatives while traveling. But when you work with a film crew they become your friends and the second family. Travel TV presenter has to work long hours to achieve success and shoot a successful project.

If you want to become a TV presenter, first of all, you must forget about shyness and timidity. Acting courses and public speaking experience in theater groups or public speaking clubs help to overcome these character traits. A TV presenter is not just a “talking head” in the TV-set. You should be able to interest the viewer so that he returns to look at you in a week. TV presenters work on acting, facial expressions, vocal skills and diction. The work of the presenter does not always imply a classic studio format. You may need to work in the frame, standing waist-deep in a pool with crocodiles or jumping from a bungee 100 meters high. But I’m not afraid of it and I’m ready for different experiments.

After school I’m going to get higher education in one of the specialized universities and complete courses organized by television channels. But now I study at school and I’m going to do all everything possible to prepare myself for my future job. I want to learn different languages to develop my diction. I’m also going to go to different castings to become more experienced and confident. I hope that I will fulfill my dream and be proud of myself!
