Virtual tour to Britain: Julia Romanchuk, 11b

'How To Be British'
By Julia Romanchuk, 11b

I have never been to the UK, but I've heard a lot about the British. Reading the first part of the book under the title 'How To Be British' I HAVE FOUND SOME VERY IMPORTANT FEATURES OF A TRUE BRIT WHICH MAKE LIVING IN THEIR COUNTRY VERY COMFORTABLE FOR THEM.

1 - They respect each other. If you don't respect the one who lives with you in one country, if you don't pay him good salary, you will provoke this man to sow "bad seeds" where you live.
2 - They never criticize anyone. If you speak don’t speak perfect English, they won’t make comments that you say something incorrectly.
3 – The British are very religious people. If you say that you go to church every Sunday, they will respect you.
ALL IN ALL, IF THE UKRAINIANS CHANGED THEIR MENTALITY, LIVING IN OUR COUNTRY WOULD BE MUCH BETTER.

EVERYONE IS CRAZY ABOUT BRITISH TELEPHONE BOXES AND BRITISH OBSSESSION WITH TEA, I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY.
I think, that the telephone boxes are inconvenient. You have to wait until someone has finished talking on the phone. And when you occupy the box, you have to hurry, because after you there is a great queue. So, portable phone is a great invention, which saves our time and makes our life easier.

English tea party is the most famous British tradition. According to statistics, every Brit drinks daily over 2 liters of tea. In my opinion, this is not good as the tea entraps liquid in the body. Also I wonder , why doesn't a country with the highest consumption of tea grow it? Nevertheless, the British are proud of the status of "tea-drinking country" and that's not a stereotype.
