FASHION: M. Oberemok, 11a

Be Stylish with Mariya
Written by Mariya Oberemok, 11a

Every day people become more and more addicted to fashion. Every day you can see a girl with a fake handbag “Chanel” or “Louis Vuitton”, who wants to show everybody her luxury style. But what is a real essence of fashion?
First of all, fashion is a way to express your personality, the main thing is not to follow style of other people, but to create your own. Famous and rich people don’t always wear expensive and luxury items: stars who pay a fortune for their attire to be worn on red carpets, in their everyday life look like other people. For example, a billionaire, the owner of fashion house Zara, Amancio Ortega always wears jeans and a white shirt.

For me it is very interesting to watch Fashion Weeks, especially in London. London designers aren’t afraid to experiment and to stand out in the crowd. I can’t deny that I love being stylish, but it must be appropriate to the situation and weather. At school we must wear uniform, it will be meaningless to put on bright items. But if situation allows, I wear what I want with pleasure. I always pay attentions to details and I like to combine things of different styles. For example, I love wearing a black classic elongated jacket with red sneakers. It’s stylish and most importantly, comfortable for me.
It isn’t obligatorily to spend a lot of money to be fashionable: you need to have “must have” pieces, and you can create a lot of different outfits with them.
I think, that in modern world it is both pointless to deny influence of fashion and to be a fashion-conscious. All in all, our eyes love beauty, first everybody sees what you look like from outside before finding out what you are like from inside.

Clothes mean nothing until someone lives in them.
