EVERYTHING THAT DOESN’T KILL US IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE US STRONGER: Three Basic Rules for Teachers

By Illia Hilko, 10c

Every school has its own rules. Both students and teachers have their own rules that must be followed. But sometimes you realize that there are not enough rules. So what are the rules that teachers should have?

It often happens that students do not listen to the teacher during the lesson due to the fact that information is not interesting. In order to be listened to the information teachers give to students needs to be presented creatively. So, the first rule is that teachers ought to be creative and present information to students in an interesting way. Pupils, due to their age, sometimes break the rules of behavior, for example, being distracted or talking loudly. Teachers give them bad marks for behavior that can affect the thematic grade. This is not entirely correct because a poor rating for behavior is not an indicator of knowledge. Teachers mustn't put a bad mark for student's behavior at the lesson in the class register.

The third rule is that teachers should students a chance to do extra work to improve their thematic assessment. It will be useful for students and not difficult for teachers. Students do not always have time or do not understand how to do their homework. Therefore, teachers have to allow students to bring homework the next day.

In general, such rules will be useful for both students and teachers. This way it will be easier for teachers to find an approach to students. There will be no unnecessary conflicts and problems.
