EVERYTHING THAT DOESN’T KILL US IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE US STRONGER: Rules Are For Everyone, Even For Teachers!

Larisa Sharapova, 10a

Throughout our lives, rules surround us. They are important both for schoolchildren and for teachers who give them a good example. I think it’s worth highlighting the most important ones that sometimes some teachers do not comply with.

First of all, it's worth talking about culture. Pedagogues must respect the feelings of each student, they mustn't do any kind of bullying/use offensive language... It is strictly forbidden to insult other students and members of the school staff, to humiliate their honor and dignity. Secondly, educators mustn’t underestimate student due to any personal hostility or a bad opinion about student. Lecturers mustn’t insult student or switch to a personality of a student, thus insulting student. Also, educationalists are required to treat all students equally, without playing favourites.

As for studies, pedagogues must give students a schedule of all projects, laboratory works and tests so that they could plan their time. Teachers are to come 10-15 minutes before the lesson begins in order to prepare the studying material. Teachers are obliged to explain the topic of the lesson in an understandable and accessible way. Also, educationalists ought to answer the questions of the students that arise during their study of the topic/task/paragraph… Pedagogues need to check on time HW, tests… Educators mustn’t miss a school working day without prior warning.

Let's talk a little about the teachers’ outfit… Lecturers should have neat appearance and set the right example for students. They are forced to take off the outdoor wear before the first lesson begins. Teachers have to wear elegant official style clothes. The teachers’ outfit mustn’t be too frank, defiant and bright.

To cap it all, I want to say that each person has his own specific duties and rules that he must abide by, even if he doesn’t like them or doesn’t want to abide by them. If everyone argues this way, chaos will begin and then the question arises: why to create rules if no one wants to abide? Rules are right, for the general order and the common good, to avoid any bad consequences. It is clear that there are some unimportant rules that can sometimes be avoided, but important ones should always be paid attention to and observed!
