Camping is a popular form of living outdoors. It gives people the opportunity of spending their free time in the lap of nature. If you don’t have any experience you may start by spending a night in a tent in your own back yard and finally go on a trip that may last for some weeks.

Some campers stay in one place for a week or even longer. From there they visit tourist attractions, go fishing, hunting, play games and do active sports or simply relax. Others prefer to tour areas and spend every night in a different place, they travel by car.

Most people drive to a campsite and put up a tent there. This is easy because you can take everything you need for your camping holiday in the car with you. Some people have special motor homes. They are called RV they can be small trailers or large mobile homes. They have everything you have at home like refrigerators, showers, sinks or toilets. There are different campsites for different campers – near the sea, the forest, mountains, lakes and campers are different too. They are boat campers, campers who travel by bike and stay at normal campsites, backpackers, who are hikers who carry their belongings on their backs and go to places that they cannot reach by car. There are special organized camping holidays for boys and girls where they combine outdoor activities with sports or learning.

My family and like to go camping and spend some nights in a tent. My father teaches me that if we want to sleep in a tent we must have certain equipment such as: sleeping bags, which will protect us from the outside cold. Clothing is important too. We must take clothes with us that will protect us from the sun, rain and insects, we must have comfortable shoes, warm coats for cold evenings and not to forget to take extra batteries, a knife and a torch with us. I am proud of my Father because he knows a lot and always says: when you go camping outdoors you must remember certain rules. And I know them

  1. Never touch poisonous plants.
  2. Before you leave home tell someone where are you going.
  3. A campfire is nice, but never leave it out of your control.

So last year we decided to change our usual way of camping and to go to the Carpathians. We went there by car. It was the campsite complex called ‘’Beskid” the resort with the great number of mineral springs of medical water. It is located in the village Myslivka of Ivano-Frankovsk region in the middle of the forest reserve. It is located only 7 km from Ivano-Frankovsk. The place is clean and attractive. The nature there is wonderful. There were many caravans which had a modern kitchen, a shower, a toilet, TV, a big swimming pool and more. My father and I enjoyed swimming there, but my mother enjoyed heated bathrooms on the campsite every evening. The “Beskid” campsite complex is the ideal place for a memorable family holiday to enjoy Carpathian nature and to restore your health. IN this place you can go to the relax bath. I recommend all my friends and their parents to visit this place. You will be pleased.
