  Diane Brooks, who was a Chief editor of world-famous fashion magazine “Harper’s bazaar”, was sitting at her wooden desk in her office. In the yellow pale light, she was finishing the next issue of the magazine. She was very proud of her new article, because their paparazzi had managed to take provocative photos of how a very famous model and Instagram star Kendall Jenner had been driving a car when she was drunk a couple of days before. It was about midnight, incredible moonlight illuminated her office, thousands, if not millions of stars were seen in the clear sky, which so inspired and soothed Diane. She felt extremely tired after the hard day, her eyes were closing, and she yawned all the time and was ready to get sleep right at her table. However, the woman was absolutely satisfied with her successful productive work; she smiled dreamingly and imagined how popular her magazine would become after such photos. Now the disc with magazine was ready, and tomorrow it would be printed.

She was going to leave her office, when suddenly she heard loud steps and muffled male voices. She knew that no one could be in the office at such a late time, but she knew this could happen and they were coming for her. So, Diane wasn’t very shocked or frightened at all, her hands weren’t shivering, her face didn’t go red, she was ready for anything. Someone began to knock at the door, louder and louder each time. She calmly looked at the door and asked- “Mr. Ellington, is that you?”

Nobody answered. She came up to the door and opened it, she decided to close the door with the chain, so that no one could enter, but it was ajar. She felt a strong odor of male perfume and stink of cigarettes, the smell of which she couldn’t stand. Behind the door she saw a serious man in a business suit, with gray hair and a stylish hairstyle. Next to him were two huge pumped-up rough guys in black clothes, they were armed, and they looked incredibly intimidating, so she concluded that they were the bodyguards of that man. The Diane was really anxious and extremely panicky, her heartbeat quickened, she sweated and turned pale and she was trembling, but she tried not to show anyone, that she really worried. She stared at that men, in hope that they will be first to start the conversation.

— Mr. Ellington, nice to meet you- a stranger introduced himself -We have a totally essential deal with you-continued the man in a business suit. His voice was very low and clear, it sounded like he was a professional announcer. Diane began to panic even more, because she recognized this man — he was manager of Kendall Jenner. Nevertheless, they found out that her magazine was preparing provocative issues about the world-famous model.
— Did you get you get our letter? - asked the man.
— N... no, I didn’t-said Diane, although it was not true.
— Well, we have a proposition for you. You know, your publication poses a huge threat to both my and Kendall's career. You are on the verge of a very responsible step, but we very much ask you not to publish magazines with articles about this incident. We will give you any money, we will do anything for you in return for canceling the publication of this article.
— I don’t take bribes and I don’t need your money! – answered the woman, who had serious intentions to promote and make her magazine more popular.

Silence reigned in the corridor, only the muffled ticking of clock was heard. Diane felt more confident and slowly calmed down. She decided to open the door and let men to come into her office.

— I’m really very worried about this situation and do not want to make Kendall's career ruined. Now she is at the peak of her popularity. I want to make everything for my models as good as possible, and I offer you this deal: the fact is that Kenny is pregnant and she should not be nervous right now. We will allow you to be the first to write an article about this in your magazine, we will even provide you with the photos you need. We are also ready to offer you an interview with Kendall immediately after giving birth. I think that such a publication will make your magazine very popular, and this deal will be really profitable for you.

Diane was very shocked and glad at the same time. This news was much more sensational than she had wanted to publicize before. She felt absolutely stunned and incredibly delighted. She smiled dreamingly and her eyes were sparkling with happiness. She quickly signed contract and headed home, enjoying lights of Los-Angeles at night.
