WE COMMENT
Time to analyze, Dychakovskiy V. 10а

The best lines in the poems of 9th formers
All poems are perfectly translated with plot, and rhyme, but I want to note the most unforgettable lines in the poems of 9th formers.
1st place - Помни, пожалуйста. Ты же и сам понимаешь-
Ни молитвой, ни советами уже ничего не исправишь.
(“Помни меня” Анна Гайша 9-в)
These lines are full of feelings. I don’t know but maybe this girl has already felt love or pain of love. It’s well done. Even I have tears!

2nd place - Не надо с грустью помнить и дня,
Лучше забудь меня и улыбайся!
(«Помни» Лиза Беликова 9-в)
These lines make me feel a hope that everything will be alright. We should try to forgive our past (just remember like a history), and go on!
3rd place - Откинув мрачность и порочность
И след раздумий, мучивших меня.
(«Храни в памяти» Саша Коваль 9-в)
These lines are well translated, while reading I stopped and started to think what’s meaning is in these lines. That’s why I decided to mark it.

The best line in the poems of the 10th formers
1st place - Теперь тот жаворонок – твоё успокоенье,
А я вот просто – голос пустоты.
(«Жаворонок» Настя Сидорчук 10-А)
This poem is full of the perfect lines, as for me these 2 lines are the best. I’m in rapture! Great work! My applause!
2nd place - Оставят хоть крупицу в нашем море
(«Помни» Никита Ахметжанов 10-А)
While I was reading poem, I decided not to mark it, but when I reached this line, I stopped myself at the thought: “WOW. It’s so poetic and professional”.
3rd place - Зеленело все вокруг, покрывалось небо синевою
(«Жаворонок» Вова Парницкий 10-А)
I like when the author described the nature, I valued the first line, and I liked this poem. It made me read it all.

The best translator of the 9th form
It was hard to choose ONE person who deserves to be MY winner.
I even paid attention to the person who translated one poem!
So, it’s time to announce:
ANNA GAYSHA AND HER POEM “ПОМНИ МЕНЯ”
Congratulations!
The best translator of the 10th form
Oh, it’s hard to choose the best one in the 10th form! I don’t want my friends to feel sad!
So the BEST translator in the 10th form is
ANASTASIA SYDORCHYK AND HER POEMS “ВСПОМНИ”, “ЖАВОРОНОК”

“My motherland”
I’m proud that my classmate Masha Oberemok got the 3rd place at this Ukrainian competition where more than 1000 works participated. Maybe my next thought will perceived “cruel”, but I won’t read any stories, because we have in our school only one winner, so I will analyze only this composition.
“Ukraine is my motherland. I am so thankful to the God that I was born and I am living here. Despite everything it is the best place in the world and with pride in my heart I always say that I am Ukrainian.”
This part of text shows the attitude author to Ukraine. I think it’s an important part of this compose!
“Endless plains, charming forests, majestic mountains, rivers and fertile land are the real beauty of Ukraine. Incredible landscapes enchant you at first sight and you can never forget them.”
This describe of nature. I’m in love with this art!
“The history of Ukraine is long and the fate of the nation was difficult. We are proud of our courageous countrymen: Hetmans Bohdan Hmelnitsky and Ivan Mazepa; unsurpassed masters of the Ukrainian word and fighters for justice and independence: Taras Shevchenko, Lesya Ukrainka, Ivan Franko and Michalo Kotsyubynsky…”
History it’s an integral part of explaining about Ukraine.

Thanks to Masha for this composition. Really, you deserve it.

The winners in my group
I read all poems in my group. All poems are absolutely interesting, romantic and sad. I had to choose 3 poems in my group.
1. Andrey Udotov
I think that his poem "Запам'ятай" is very well translated, he translated it into Ukrainian, it's fabulous. I chose a couple of the best lines.
—Чи пам'ятаєш, як колись

Ти про майбутнє нам казала

Про те, що ти у голові

Сама собі запланувала.
These lines for me are so beautiful and sensual.
2. Nastya Sidorchuk
I think her poem "Жайворонок" is so touching but perfect. When I was reading this poem I felt warmth but at the end of poem I was depressed.
—И я молчал, вдыхая пенье,

Боялся стать причиной тишины…

Теперь тот жаворонок – твоё успокоенье,

А я вот просто – голос пустоты.
3. Nikita Ahmetganov
This poem "Помни" sounds very proud, for me in this poem the man proudly releases his girlfriend, realizing that he cannot be with her. The poem is moving.
—И все же, ты забудешь обо мне,
А если вспомнишь, то не впадай в горе,
И если тьма и тление в огне,
Оставят хоть крупицу в нашем море,
Ты не плачь, постарайся с улыбкой забыть,
Это ведь лучше, чем напрасно грустить

Also I read some essays about our motherland. I think Mary Oberemok is worthy of the second or first place because her work is truthful. I pray for Ukraine too. Now, it is a hard time for Ukraine. In the East the real heroes protect our country without fear to die for peace. Thanks to our defenders, who protect the country and keep peace we can study and then use all our knowledge to make Ukraine powerful. We are the new generation that can change our country for the better. Over these three years we have become stronger and started to understand that liberty is so important. We must be strong and we must have patience. I think everything is going to be alright.

Thank you for your attention!
