The Teacher I Admire Most
Anastasiya Sidorchuk, 10a

Among the teachers who have taught me through my school life Maria Evgenievna is the one I admire the most. She has been teaching me English for 6 years.
I’ll never forget the first time I met her. I took to her at once. I remember perfectly our first lesson with her. We shared our biography, our interests, Maria Evgenievna told us about her school and university education. The coolest thing was about her cat kingdom at home, cause she adores these fluffy creatures! :)
She possesses such qualities essential for a good teacher as creativity and unbelievable energy. She fills all around with her unsinkable shine and positivity. Every lesson is full of enthralling information and exciting discussions of important questions. I’m really amazed at her patience and tolerance. We are not angels and sometimes we don’t fulfill our duties, however Maria Evgenievna understands us and give us an opportunity to fix our situation. I respect her because she’s fair and supportive. We can ask her for help and advice, and it will help to cope with different life obstacles. She sets a good example for us. We can boldly call her the teacher with a huge heart and a great soul. She is concerned with not only school problems, but global, such as respect and honor the memory of veterans of the war, the conditions of the environment. She does not talk to the wind. She is a person of action.

I strongly believe that good relationships are the key to effective learning and if students respect the teacher they will do their best to learn subject. In my opinion, Maria Evgenievna is easy and pleasant to deal with. She is caring, cause she sees and understands the point of view of every person and she tries to support it. She always shares her experience and life situations, so I may say that she isn’t indifferent to us, otherwise she wouldn’t feed us with her own mistakes and cheer us up, when we are in a bad mood.
I always look forward to her lessons. I feel comfortable in the atmosphere she creates at her lessons. She is a very disciplined teacher. She speaks clearly and prepares carefully for every lesson. Furthermore, she always grades papers on time and announce results in no time. Maria Evgenievna keeps discipline without yelling or being rude, but making subtle and precise comments. Our teacher explains boring material in an interesting way, giving unusual and bright examples to help us understand. I like that she prints handouts to provide information missing in the textbooks. She always gives creative tasks and it gives an opportunity to highlight the individuality of everyone. Each student is taught differently. She repeats explanations again and again until the material is clear for everyone. Her door is always open for consultations or for the students who want to retake the test and improve the mark, she always gives a chance to the pupils who have academic difficulties.
I feel fortunate to be taught by Maria Evgenievna. She gave me vast knowledge of present day English. But what is more important, she made a great impact on my personality and shaped my character. I will always be grateful for comfort, advice and support she gave me whenever I needed, for her help in discovering my talents and giving me confidence during the olympiads and different competitions. She is a real teacher who is faithful to her profession and to children with whom she works. I am proud that she is my English teacher.
