Welcome to Sharm el Sheikh with Polina Ivanova, 8c

I would like to tell about the most memorable journey in my life. I’m fond of travelling. I’ve got a dream to travel all over the world. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about other countries, other people and other cultures and to make new friends.

Last year my parents and I went on journey to Egypt to Sharm el Sheikh. The place impressed me a lot. Sharm is famous for its fantastic resorts and luxurious hotels. It is a real paradise with crystal sapphire sea, well-kept sandy beaches and endless coral reefs with numerous fascinating fish. There are no world class museums, art galleries and exhibitions in Sharm but tourists can visit many interesting guided tours with experienced guides, for example, to Cairo to see the legendary Pyramids and other unforgettable historical places. Holiday-makers will never forget exciting evening entertainments and delicious meals at traditional restaurants. We were lucky to spend a fortnight at this unforgettable holiday destination.

  Hello, Dasha!

I’m on holiday in Florida, Miami. I got here on Sunday by plane and the flight was quite short, that`s why I wasn`t tired. That evening I went for a walk in the city and understood how modern and incredible Miami is. I’m staying at a world class hotel, because I haven`t got chance to check in a five-star hotel according to my budget. The weather here is wonderful and the sky is so clear!!! It fills me with joy and delight and I am cheerful to wake up every day.

Greetings from Miami! Remember when I told you that I would go there. I found the cheapest tour and now I have been here since 10th January. To begin with I’m renting a room in a crowded guest house with tiny lousy and dirty rooms. I feel really uncomfortable here, but when I was buying a tour I thought that I wouldn`t spend much time in the house. Unfortunately the weather here is awful. Every day is rainy, the sky is covered with dark clouds and I even can`t think about swimming in the ocean because waves here are dangerous and the wind is cold. I feel so depressed and miserable that I even started watching cartoon for children!

Holiday makers will never forget interesting guided tours with experienced guides. Visitors will also enjoy delicious meals at restaurants.   Hello, Rob,

I’m spending a fortnight in Austria, Lech. This is a lovely winter resort, where my family and I got on last Monday. This is an absolute fairyland with white bright snow and tall pines. We are staying at a four-star hotel. This is a spacious house with lots of warm rooms and a gorgeous new-year tree in the middle of the hall. Every room is decorated with colorful garlands and marvelous Christmas toys. Austria becomes impressive in winter, every day it snows here and cold refreshing wind blows. I feel cheerful and my New Year mood doesn’t leave me every day.

  Hello Janet,

I’m sending you this letter from Austria, Lech. We arrived here two days ago. We were warned about bad weather conditions at once. The blizzard was raging and we hid in a nearest guest house. There we were suggested to spend a night in a tiny, but cozy room. From the window I was watching large snowflakes falling. Sky was covered with grey clouds and the strong wind was blowing all night. I was quite scared and I spent all time here in depression. In the morning we saw that all roads were blocked with snow and we couldn`t get to our booked hotel. Then we were told that all buildings in the area had been turned off the heating.

  I would like to tell about the most memorable journey in my life. Last year in autumn my parents and I went on a holiday to the USA. America is famous for its holiday destinations located on the ocean coasts and well-kept sandy beaches. It is real paradise with palm trees and high-rise buildings. Visitors to Disneyland and Universal Studio will also enjoy these unforgettable sights. Miami has some famous attractions: ice-cream museum, houses of famous stars and the lightest street in Florida. We were lucky to spend a fortnight at this unforgettable holiday destination.

  Dear Maria,

I am on a holiday in Slavskoe, if it can be called a holiday and I arrived here four days ago. I have never seen such nasty people, terrible service, the hotel like from horror movies and other shocking things. We are staying at a “five-star” hotel with my mother, outside it looks like an abandoned house, there is no heating and we have to be all the time dressed in a warm jackets, the toilet is outside and right next to the forest. The weather is awful: incredibly cold, blizzard, strong wind that blows the roof off small houses. We are in mountains that’s why we need to go up every day in lifts which are very old and broken and we cannot be sure that we won’t fall and be broken. We have already been skiing and we don’t want any more because the ski tracks were very crooked and there was a lot of rubbish.
