I don`t understand chemistry now. I have missed many lessons because of the dancing concert and now it is too difficult to understand what my teacher says. I asked my teacher to give me some extra classes but she says that does`t have time. I cannot find another teacher, who will give me extra lessons. I also tried to watch online lessons, but they don`t help me either. I`m worried because I am having a test this Wednesday.

What can I do?

I'm 14 and I play chess on professional level.

I am preparing for the Ukrainian championship and spend much time training and playing chess. The problem is that I don't have enough time to do my homework. I study well, but now I often get bad marks because I don't have time to do my homework. I am worried because I want to finish this year with only good marks.

What can I do?

My name is Lucy and I`m in the 9th form. This year I will have very important exams and I`m afraid of them. I study well but I am afraid that at exam there will be questions that I don`t know and I will fail it. I feel constantly stressed. To make matters worse, I am afraid of my parents - they beat me. I am afraid to go home so I sometimes I for some days live at my friend`s house.

What do you think I should do?

I think that adolescence is the most problematic age in our life. Now I would like to tell you why.

Firstly, teenagers have a lot of complexes. They are embarrassed with their appearance and ugly pimples which appear on their nose from time to time.

Teenagers often have problems. For example, it may be a conflict with teachers.

An incompetent teacher can accidentally say something that hurts a pupil. A pupil might misunderstand a teacher’s remark and get very much upset. They might think that everyone hates them. A pupil sometimes hates a certain school subject because of this he may not be able to pass the exams and he will not have a good future.

What can you advise in this situation?

Recently I have been exhausted as I have loads of school homework. I’m also involved in a project which is held at school. It takes a lot of time so I don’t have time to do anything for myself except for school. I would like to take up some sport but I lack time and my parents don’t support me about it. I know that teenagers all over the world have a lot of problems. These problems are mainly the same in different countries. What disturbs modern teenagers? First of all, it is the wish to be independent and to decide everything themselves. They argue with parents about the way they look, study and spend free time. Teenagers don’t want to have duties but speak a lot about their rights. They think that they are full-grown enough to do what they want. At this period many teenagers meet their first love. Sometimes teenagers begin to drink alcohol, to smoke to show that they are adults. The main thing parents worry about is drugs. But many teenage problems finish when a child grows up.

  My name is Roman I’m 13 and I have some problems with my studying. I have very bad marks in 6 subjects.

They are history of Ukraine, chemistry, geometry, algebra, foreign literature and art. Somebody told me that I’m very clever but I can’t study well because of laziness. I don’t know what to do with my laziness because it doesn’t let me study well. Also I’m afraid that I wouldn’t pass exam’s next year and if I don’t pass exams I won’t study in the tenth form.   Hi, my name is ALEXANDRA BOBROVA and I am 14 years old. My adolescence causes a lot of troubles.

Like all normal teens I feel sore about pimples on my face, but all of my classmates haven`t got that problem. Some days I wake up and see that they have covered all my body. I tried everything from expensive medical masks to facial scrub, but they didn`t work, sometime they even caused more pimples on my face. Because of this I feel discomfort with my coevals and think that I am ugly.
