On the first of April the man named Ted Thomson committed a crime. It was near 7 pm when the offender rushed inside the United Kingdom National Bank. There were few people in the evening and the bank was getting ready to close. He was wearing a white shirt and black trousers, like he had just run out from an office. Also like any decent robber he was in a black mask with а handgun and a bag for money. What's remarkable is that he didn't have any accomplices. Further everything went according to the usual scenario: he shot in the air, intimidating those present, threatened to kill the cashier and required to give him all the cash. He even took a young woman hostage. All in all, he successfully left the bank with a satisfied smile on his face, however, the most interesting is somewhat further.

  Brief crux of the matter:
13 February 2018 in the Department of Internal Affairs of the Central District of Birmingham Mrs. N. appealed with a statement of the murder, explaining that in the morning she had come to her husband, Mr. Smith and saw him killed. The police arrived immediately, a criminal case was opened.

Crime investigation plan:
1) Investigation of the crime scene
As police detectives we arrived to examine the crime scene. The victim had bruises around his neck. He was holding a knife in his hand. The knife was clean. Death had come about 7 hours ago. Examining/having examined his bruises, we understood that he had been strangled. No murder weapons and footprints were found. However there were handprints, which are hard to recognize. We consider that the murderer was in gloves, but he/she took them off for some reason later. We noticed the victim’s phone, which was broken .

  Ethiopian Airlines flight 951 is on routine trip from Addis Ababa to the Ivory Coast.

  The captain is Thomas Bell. He’s an extremely experienced pilot; he has more than 11,000 hours of flying.

  Ethiopian flight 951 will stop in Nairobi, Brazzaville and Lagos before it reaches its final destination of Abidjan. The plane has just enough fuel for the first leg of the trip; it will get more in Nairobi. Less fuel on board makes the plane lighter, increasing its efficiency.

  This is a story about how Agent Jensen solved a murder case. The action took place in New York. It was Monday morning, 5:30 am, when Jensen was awoken by the sound of his favorite theme song. His colleague Agent Barts (head of CSI unit) informed him about a murder at Albany, which was in 30 minutes’ drive from Jensen’s apartment. He dressed up quickly, not even having a breakfast, and went to the crime scene.

  Yesterday at about 11 pm a robbery of one of the local food stores was committed. Arriving at the scene of the crime, the detectives discovered signs of breaking in, a mess in the shopkeeper's office and an open cashbox. They immediately questioned Mr. Jenkins, the store owner, who called the police. Standard questions were asked.

Welcome to Sharm el Sheikh with Polina Ivanova, 8c

I would like to tell about the most memorable journey in my life. I’m fond of travelling. I’ve got a dream to travel all over the world. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about other countries, other people and other cultures and to make new friends.

Last year my parents and I went on journey to Egypt to Sharm el Sheikh. The place impressed me a lot. Sharm is famous for its fantastic resorts and luxurious hotels. It is a real paradise with crystal sapphire sea, well-kept sandy beaches and endless coral reefs with numerous fascinating fish. There are no world class museums, art galleries and exhibitions in Sharm but tourists can visit many interesting guided tours with experienced guides, for example, to Cairo to see the legendary Pyramids and other unforgettable historical places. Holiday-makers will never forget exciting evening entertainments and delicious meals at traditional restaurants. We were lucky to spend a fortnight at this unforgettable holiday destination.

  Hello, Dasha!

I’m on holiday in Florida, Miami. I got here on Sunday by plane and the flight was quite short, that`s why I wasn`t tired. That evening I went for a walk in the city and understood how modern and incredible Miami is. I’m staying at a world class hotel, because I haven`t got chance to check in a five-star hotel according to my budget. The weather here is wonderful and the sky is so clear!!! It fills me with joy and delight and I am cheerful to wake up every day.

Greetings from Miami! Remember when I told you that I would go there. I found the cheapest tour and now I have been here since 10th January. To begin with I’m renting a room in a crowded guest house with tiny lousy and dirty rooms. I feel really uncomfortable here, but when I was buying a tour I thought that I wouldn`t spend much time in the house. Unfortunately the weather here is awful. Every day is rainy, the sky is covered with dark clouds and I even can`t think about swimming in the ocean because waves here are dangerous and the wind is cold. I feel so depressed and miserable that I even started watching cartoon for children!
