Jeremy Strong
Sasha Bobrova, 7c
I recommend everyone to read the funny book called My Sister`s Got a Spoon up Her Nose written by a great author Jeremy Strong.
Nicolas`s sister Tomato got a spoon up her nose. Her parents didn`t know what to do with that problem, so they took her to hospital. Nurse looked at the baby and asked the concerned family to wait for a few minutes in the waiting room. In the corner they saw their neighbor Mr. Tugg. He was jammed inside a long metal stepladder. Nickolas`s mom asked how it had happened. Mr. Tugg first had fallen off the ladder and then he had fallen through it. After their little chat the nurse called him to the doctor. When the neighbor disappeared behind the door Nick`s father noticed leaflet with an inscription ‘three mile challenge’. It was a charity event for the hospital, you must run a mile, swim a mile and jump with parachute from a mile high. The nurse called poor Tomato to her, while father and Nick were playing with Tomato`s twin brother Cheese. But it was not long both Tomato and Mr. Tugg came back. Mr. Tugg was carrying his ladder and Tomato was holding a lolly. The teaspoon had gone. The nurse snatched up Three Mile Challenge to Mr. Tugg and asked him to sponsor her. He thought that it was good idea and asked Ron about sponsorship. Nick`s Dad didn`t want to sponsor the nurse, he wanted to take part. Mr. Tugg saw this as challenge and he wanted to beat his neighbor.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Marina Ikonomu, 7a
I read the book shared by Natasha Sych Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. First of all, I warn you that it is impossible to tear yourself away from this book! It is a story about Charlie, a boy from a poor family, in which this child can get chocolate as a gift only on his birthday. But once Charlie was lucky. In a chocolate bar he found the ticket for a tour with other children to the chocolate factory of Mr. Willy Wonka. Among five luckiest children, who came to the factory, only Charlie managed to get the main prize – a lifetime supply of chocolate. Of course, the rest of the children were disappointed at the end of the factory tour but they had bad habits.

The Princess Diaries
Marina Ikonomu, 7a
I have read Renata Panfilova’s book The Princess Diaries. The book is written in popular English. It can be easily read by people with an elementary level of language. The book itself is written in the form of a diary of 14-year-old girl.
Mia Thermopolis lives with her artist mother and her cat. She lives in an apartment in Greenwich Village. She is an ordinary New York teenager. Ordinary, that is, until Mia finds out the shocking truth from her father - she is a princess! Then her grandmother came. She began to teach Mia how to be a princess. After the extra Algebra lessons Mia has Princess Lessons.

Seven-Day Magic
Arthur Shamyan, 7a
With great thanks to
Liza Belikova who shared the book.
In summer I read an interesting book SEVEN-DAY MAGIC. It tells about the magic adventure of five children.
I like this adventure very much. It is really very interesting and magic. The children took the book in the library. It was a magic book. Then magic began.
I also want to have this book!!)) There were many interesting moments. My favorite moment is the first adventure. Frederica called a dragon which took her in its claws. They were scared. Then Mrs. Funk fought the dragon.

Useless Invention
Valera Dychakovskiy, 11a
The Japanese art of useless invention is called Chindogu. Some of these really existing gadgets are back scratcher’s shirt, earring safety nets, personal rain saver. I surfed the Net and found out that everyone could create invention even if it’s useless.
My invention is called Tempochair. Basically it’s a chair with thermometer inside. It can inform you which temperature you have. You just sit down and wait for 5 seconds. The voice program will tell you the temperature of your body, your pulse. Also this chair can advise you to drink hot tea if you get sick.

Smart Walls
Valentin Matviets, 10b
I’m sure, our future is for technology! I've got a nice concept of an appliance that may be released in near future. It is Smart Walls. This is a very space-saving invention. Just imagine that you live in a one-room apartment and it's empty. But then you pronounce what you want to appear in it, for example kitchen, your room understands it with voice-recognition system and in a few moments it's completely changed. There are chairs, a table, a stove, pans, cups, a washstand and other stuff. After having meal, you want to sleep for example. You pronounce: "Bedroom!" and at the moment kitchen disappears and bad slides out of the wall, a bed, a lamp, a carpet and a bookshelf. So I think it's a really great idea and the design is impressive. I love this concept and it will be great if it exists in real life.

Smart House
Vlad Lysechko, 10b
Every day I read different technological news and sometimes I think that I would like to create something by myself. That’s why I decided to design my own device.
Have you ever seen episode from Simpsons, where Homer bought smart system for his house. I really like that idea, that’s why I want to upgrade it. Furthermore there is real smart house technology, but it has some HUGE problems that’s why I think that this invention can be mine.
I’ll call this smart system “SMARTHS”. So in my interpretation it looks like big column inside the room. It will react to your voice commands. You can say “SMARTHS turn on the light” and you know what? It will turn on. Moreover all sockets, light bulbs and ALL other electric stuff will be connected to SMARTHS. I also want there to be an official app, which will help you to work with SMARTHS when you are not at home. Just imagine, you are in the office and you want to have warm tea and bath full of water. The only thing you need to do is to open an app and push some buttons. It’s so simple!

PCT
Max Shariy, 10b
Today I want to present you an unbelievable gadget, its “Personal Compact Teleport” abridged-PCT.
For starters, let's understand what teleportation is?
Teleportation is the spatial movement of the physical object from one point to another.
The "quantum teleportation" that occasionally gets big press is not the slightest bit like teleportation like you see in sci-fi movies. It turns the quantum state of one particle into the state of another particle (which must destroy the state of the first particle in the process). You need to have exchanged entangled particles before you start. And this happens only by "reading" the state of one particle and sending it (at the speed of light or slower) to the other.

Kalpa

A watch belongs to the group of items, which show status of their owner. There are many types of clocks: sundials, moon dial, electronic watch and so on. However, they use customary time system (1 day=24 hours =1440 minutes=86 400 seconds) which is common all around the world. But, sometimes people want to stand out and for these people is my chindogu-style invention.
This is a mechanical watch but it uses Buddhist cosmology time system (1 day = 4.32 billion years (in si system that’s equal to the Earth’s age). These watches are supposed to be made from gold and engraved in Buddhist style so they accentuate your status and if you are foreigner in Asian region it could help you to show your respect for Asian culture.
