Alita, Battle Angel

I would like to recommend you to watch one of the best films of 2019 so far. It’s title is ALITA BATTLE ANGEL and it`s an action science fiction movie in cyberpunk style. It was directed by Robert Rodriguez and James Cameron based on the eponymous manga written by Yukito Kishiro. 20th Century Fox was responsible for its production, and as for me that studio always makes quality production. Film revenues amounted to 404 775 671 $.

I saw it with my friend at the movie theatre right after it was realised, however at first I did not dare to watch it because of its source. Japanese culture very often seems to Europeans strange and chaotic; fortunately James Cameron coped with the adaptation task. I liked the movie so much that I watched it two more times in the cinema and even showed to my parents. My opinion on Alita Battle Angel is that it`s an underrated masterpiece.

The plot is the following. The story is set in 2563, three hundred years since the “Devastation” war between the United Republic of Mars and the Earth, which left the Earth deserted, with the exception of the huge flying city Zalem and the scum settlement beneath it, named the “Lower World”. In the lower world hunter warriors (volunteers who catch perpetrators), criminals and police fighting robots centurions operate. In the lower town, firearms are prohibited in order to simplify the work of centurions and other representatives of Zalem. Punishment for owning a firearm is death. Zalem is ruled by Nova, a powerful being capable of penetrating and controlling the minds of any person. He spies for lower world`s life with the aim to protect himself. Dr. Ido, local cyborg “surgeon” in the lower world, finds the remains of a cyborg girl in a garbage dump from Zalem, takes her to his office and repairs her. Dr. Ido gives her the name Alita and the body that was meant for his dead daughter. After Alita has regained consciousness, she cannot remember anything, but discovers that she owns cyborgs fighting techniques, after which she begins to search for her lost memories. While getting acquainted with the new home, Alita meets Dr. Chiren, Ido's ex-wife. She does not share the enthusiasm of her husband and believes that by repairing the girl, Ido is trying to create a replacement for their daughter. Chiren herself now works for a local rich man and producer of a motorball (gladiator fights between robots) Vector, who promises to return her to the upper city of Zalem in exchange for her hard work. Vector is often controlled by Nova and also his embodiment of orders for the lower world (when it`s happening his eyes turnblue).

After Earth

The name of my favourite movie is “After Earth”. It was directed by M. Night Shyamalan. It was released in 2013 by Columbia Pictures. The cast is superb. Jaden Smith and Will Smith starred in this film. It was the greatest box-office hit with revenues of $243.8 million. It received excellent reviews and I particularly like it because of convincing actors` perfomance.

I first saw this film with my family at the movie theatre right after it was released. I really lost count of how many times I`ve watched it afterwards, but the truth is that it is always exciting to watch it again and again. I`ve memorized almost the entire script which is really well written by Will Smith himself! I like this movie very much because it has a combination of reality and irreality, father and son relationships and suspense. Every time when I watch it, I feel that it is one of the greatest films ever made.

The name of my favourite movie is 1+1. It was directed by Oliver Nakache and Eric Toledano. It was released by Gaumont. The cast is superb. Francis Cluzet and Omar Sy starred in this film. This drama became a great blockbuster which received excellent reviews.

I first saw this film at home on TV. l Iike this movie very much because it combines humor and drama. Every time when I watch it, I feel unrest. I really lost count of how many times l've watched it afterwards, because it has a combination of a brilliant story and humor.

TAXI

I would like to tell about one of the best film I have ever seen. The name of my favorite movie is TAXI. It was directed by Gerard Pires, the acknowledged master of comedies. It was released in 1998 by Paramount comedy. The cast is superb. Such famous actors as Sami Naseri, Frederic Difenthal, Marion Cotillard, Emma Sjöberg starred in this film. It was the greatest box-office hit. It received excellent reviewes. Spectacular scenes, original French humor, excellent acting and directing work made this film very profitable - the rental brought more than 200 million dollars.

I first saw this film when I was about six years old on TV, I have been a fan of this film ever since. I really lost count of how many times I’ve watched it afterwards, but the truth is that I’ve memorized almost the entire script which is really well written by Luc Besson. I like this movie very much because it has a combination of reality, humor, romance, and suspense. Every time when I watch it, I feel that it is a brilliant story.

SHERLOCK

The name of my favourite movie is SHERLOCK. It was directed by Mark Gattis and Steven Moffat the acknowledged masters of crime series. It was released in 2010 by Hartswood Films for BBC. The cast is superb. Such popular actors as Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Andrew Scott, Una Stubbs and Rupert Graves starred in it. SHERLOCK received excellent reviews and won several awards, also the third season became the UK’s most watched drama series since 2001.

I first saw this film with my mother. I really lost count of count of how many times I’ve watched it afterwards, but the truth is that I’ve memorized almost the entire script which is really well written by Mark Gattis, Steven Moffat and Stephen Thompson! I like this TV series because it has a combination of solving crimes, reality, humor and romance. Every time when I watch it, I realize that this film is one of the greatest films I’ve ever seen.

In Time

The name of my favourite movie is IN TIME. It was directed by Andrew Niccol. It was realeased in 2011 by New Regency Pictures Strike Entertainment 20th Century Fox. The cast is superb.Will Salas (Justin Timberlake); Raymond Leon (Cillian Murphy); Silvia (Amanda Seyfried) starred in this film. It was the greatest blockbuster which received excellent reviews.

I first saw this film with my family at the movie theatre right after it was realeased. I really lost count of how many times I've watched it afterwards, but the truth is that I've memorized almost the entire script which is really well written by Andrew Niccol. The genre of the movie "In time" is a fantasy, action, because in the film an action takes place which does not actually exist, for example, that each person can determine how much he has left to live, his life depends on how much he "earns" for himself, his time... I really like this film, because it has a combination of reality and suspense, the suspense of what will happen to you tomorrow, whether you can live or not, what the authorities come up with, whether you can earn yourself time to live... Every time when I watch it, I realize that this is a masterpiece and one of the greatest films ever made.

Avengers - Infinity War

The name of my favourite film is Avengers: Infinity War. This film was directed by Joe and Anthony Russo the acknowledged masters of sci-fi genre. It was released in 2018 by Marvel Studios.The cast is superb. Robert Downey Jr. ,Chris Hemsworth ,Chris Evans ,Mark Ruffalo ,Scarlett Johansonn ,Tom holand and Benedict Cumberbatch starred in this film. It was one of the greatest box-office hits. It received excellent reviews, exactly 8,5 stars out of 10 on very famous source IMDb.

I first saw this film at the movie theatre with my friend right after it was released. I really lost count of how many times I've watched it afterwards, but the truth is that I've memorized almost the entire script which is really well written by Stephen McFeely .I like this movie because it has a combination of humor, romance and suspense. Every time when I watch it, I realise that it's one of the greatest films ever made.

Full Metal Jacket

The name of my favorite movie is Full Metal Jacket. It was directed by Stanley Kubrick, a real master of modern movie making. It was released in 1987, by Warner Brothers. The cast is superb. Matthew Modine, Vincent D'Onofrio, Adam Baldwin and Lee Ermey starred in this film. It was the greatest box-office-hit with 46,357,676$ revenues. It received excellent reviews.

My friend recommended it to me. It is so memorable that I still keep in mind almost the entire script which is really well written by Stanley Kubrick, Michael Herr and Gustav Hasford. I like this movie because it has a combination of reality, humor and suspense. Every time I watch it, I feel that it is a real masterpiece. The plot is the following. It is the classic tale about war. The scene is laid in 1973.The action takes place in Vietnam. The main character is Joker - rookie- the commander of the department in the training base which includes a couple of soldiers and a clumsy Leonard Lawrence. Because of Leonard, the whole squad gets into trouble and everyone except the Joker hates him. On the last night of the studying, Joker was on duty at the barracks and heard the reloading of weapon. It was Leonard loading the M14 rifle with "full metal jacket" ammo. The Joker asked Leonard to lay down his rifle, but Leonard didn't listen. The combat instructor, awakened by the noise, demands to give him a rifle, but Leonard killsthe instructor with a shot in the chest. Then he kiils himself. Joker forever remembered this accident. After his studies, the Joker becomes a military journalist in the "Stars and Stripes" army-newspaper. From time to time the Joker is on the front line.

Avengers - Endgame

I saw a lot of films: some of them delighted me, others disappointed me, but I can surely call all the impressions I received a valuable experience. Among all the films that have taken root deep inside of me, I can highlight the last film I watched – Avengers: Endgame. Film Studio Marvel invested a lot of effort and money to create 22 films, combining the stories of each into the final one. The Endgame is science fiction with a touch of fantasy – something with talking raccoon-killer Rocket and a cute tree that repeats "I am Groot" over and over.

The plot is the following. Survivors from the team of superheroes "Avengers" are looking for a way to return their friends and family, which turned into dust. They fight evil represented by invincible villain Thanos, which has destroyed half of the world's population. The best solution was to travel in time to pick up the Stones of Infinity in the past and resurrect the dead. In the end, completing the mission and resurrecting their friends, they beat Thanos.

Creed II

The name of my favourite movie is Creed II. It was directed by Steven Caple Jr. It was released in 2018 by Warner Bros. Pictures. The cast is superb. Michael B. Jordan, who starred in the film, gave an excellent performance. It was the greatest blockbuster. The box office was 214 million dollars. The film received excellent reviews, especially from true fans of the movies about Rocky Balboa.

I first saw this movie with my friends at the movie theatre right after it was released. Then I watched it one more time. I have memorized the entire script which is really well written by Sylvester Stallone. I like this movie because it is really motivating. I often watch some episodes cut from this film and motivating scenes. It inspires me to work.
