EVERYTHING THAT DOESN’T KILL US IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE US STRONGER: TOP Rules for Teachers from Students

Daria Pavlova, 10c

We all know the rules, duties, and what pupils and teachers in school should fulfill. We don’t want to constantly follow the rules, because we don’t like to be controlled. I am sure that students do not agree with many of the rules that teachers impose. I decided that we need to come up with new rules that can be FUNNY, but every student would like them.

Here is my TOP of the best rules from students for teachers:

- Teachers should not scream at the children. Now there are many stories when staff yell at school because s/he does not know or forgot something. I think this is wrong.

- Admitting your mistakes is normal. Everyone can make a mistake, this is not good, but there is nothing wrong with that. Many teachers think that they are perfect, but if they agreed with their mistake, the children would respect them more.

EVERYTHING THAT DOESN’T KILL US IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE US STRONGER: New Rules for Teachers

There are many worthy and useful professions in the world. One of the most important fields nowadays is education. That’s why teachers are respected worldwide. Each teacher has rights and duties that have been spelled out for a long time. I am going to present you new rules for teachers.

• I know that students often get tired at the lessons. I suggest a 5-minute rest or to do some exercises. Usually teachers allow us to do exercises only when the principal is sitting at the lesson.

EVERYTHING THAT DOESN’T KILL US IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE US STRONGER: Behavior Policy for Teachers

Written by Kate Korolenko, 10a

There is certain behavior policy in our school — rules that everyone should follow, whether they like them or not. Students are tired of stupid, in their opinion, rules, such as school uniform, morning exercises, or lateness. Each student at least once asked themselves a question – why don’t teachers abide the same rules? What rules do they follow? To begin with, profession of teacher is irreplaceable and ranks fifth in the list of the most important jobs in the opinion of Readers Digest magazine. And this fact is beyond any doubts – who else will have so much patience to educate lots of children over many years? Every day, teachers face big or small problems – whether it’s a student who hasn’t done their homework or an argument with the principal. And, of course, it’s difficult for them to check tons of works, find individual approach to each student, and to follow the behavior rules in addition.

EVERYTHING THAT DOESN’T KILL US IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE US STRONGER: Do Teachers Need Any Rules?

By Polina Ivanova, 10c

Students of all schools of the world have a lot of rules and responsibilities. In my opinion they are necessary because they make us more disciplined, organized and mature. But I am sure that teachers should follow some strict rules as well.

The most important thing in my opinion is that teachers are obliged to treat pupils with respect. They may make a comment however they oughtn’t to raise their voice. Every person was a child and could be naughty, laugh and talk at the lesson, or didn’t listen to the teachers and this is normal, because this is a natural process of growing up. Of course an abuse is unacceptable.

EVERYTHING THAT DOESN’T KILL US IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE US STRONGER: Three Basic Rules for Teachers

By Illia Hilko, 10c

Every school has its own rules. Both students and teachers have their own rules that must be followed. But sometimes you realize that there are not enough rules. So what are the rules that teachers should have?

It often happens that students do not listen to the teacher during the lesson due to the fact that information is not interesting. In order to be listened to the information teachers give to students needs to be presented creatively. So, the first rule is that teachers ought to be creative and present information to students in an interesting way. Pupils, due to their age, sometimes break the rules of behavior, for example, being distracted or talking loudly. Teachers give them bad marks for behavior that can affect the thematic grade. This is not entirely correct because a poor rating for behavior is not an indicator of knowledge. Teachers mustn't put a bad mark for student's behavior at the lesson in the class register.
