Sports activities and any physical activities provide great benefits for people. But there is also another side. Athletes sacrifice their health and sometimes even their lives to achieve heights in this or that sport.

Each athlete exposes his body to maximum stress, which is bad for health. Most often, athletes have heart problems. Due to excessive loads, the heart beats constantly accelerat. This causes heart problems. Since 2000, 45 football deaths have been officially recorded in football, the main cause of which was heart attacks.

I believe that sports can really be harmful. It especially concerns, for example, a person who is already a master of sports and simply cannot stop and get rid of the desire to defeat everyone. If an athlete is suddenly injured and can no longer play sports, then his life will simply be over. For a person like this, going in for sports is not just a part of life, but whole life.

On the other hand, these same people, in spite of all the injuries that do not allow them to do what they love, still continue to go towards the goal until the disease finally forces them to leave the sport. This also applies to ordinary people. Careless movement can kill or cripple a person forever. Many skydivers have crashed to death or lost body parts.

Sport is certainly an integral part of our health and life. Everyone is connected with it in different ways: someone is engaged in dancing, someone works out in the gym, someone plays volleyball, and someone runs in the morning. But like everything in our life, sport has its light and dark side. Naturally, the light side is much larger, but it's also interesting to think about the dark side.

First, of course, it is an injury. Sport is very traumatic and dangerous, because improper weight lifting, for example, can lead to very serious problems, unsuccessful fall to broken leg, arm, back, etc. In old age it will be remembered. I understand this well, because already now my bones on my legs hurt when I walk a lot or just "in the weather", because I was engaged in one of the most traumatic sports - figure skating. The injuries did not pass by, and therefore I still have acquaintances in the city's hospitals - surgeons who are scared when they see me in the corridor near their office.

The popularity of equestrian sports can be explained by the desire of people to join a healthy lifestyle, get a boost of energy, and experience new sensations. Horseback riding attracts with a combination of strength and grace, allows you to improve your health and gain the desired physical shape. But for all its beauty, this lesson is fraught with some dangers and has a number of contraindications. So let`s dive into the dark side of that extreme sport.

Equestrian sport is one of the ten most extreme sports according to statistics. Among all sports, equestrian injuries account for relatively few injuries, but most of them are severe injuries. According to the research of Professors W. Heypertz and K. Steinbrück, the main injuries and accidents occur with athletes from 10 to 19 years old. However, experienced riders from 30 to 40 years old are not immune from injuries. Researchers at the Heidelberg University Hospital Sports Clinic report: "In 135 cases, riders were injured in 10th place, but equestrian injuries were the most serious compared to other athletes, with 39% of cases resulting in bone fractures".

Of course, playing sports is always good. Sport strengthens your health and immunity, improves your muscles and shape. But even sports have some downsides. So let’s talk about dark sides of sport.

The Risk of Injury

One of the most obvious disadvantages to playing sports is the risk of injury. Injuries can be more than just an inconvenience; they can lead to lasting problems. Many injuries can take place during the course of a game. Collisions in contact sports can cause injuries, and falls can hurt you as well.
