Every composition deserves attention. All texts are full of love and patriotism.
To my mind, Lisa's composition is quite interesting and unique in its own way. It was a great idea to choose Ukrainian song as the main object, the main topic of this work. Lisa used a lot of vivid epithets that give text peculiar sincerity.

I like the work Deathless Beauty of the Ukrainian Song written by Lisa Belikova. I was impressed by the way Lisa wrote about folk songs as the dignity of Ukraine. Our folk songs are really some of the best in the world. Lisa successfully used the parallel between nature and song. This work differs from others due to the fact that Lisa carefully selected quotes to support her ideas, for Lisa used the statements of foreign writers /Czech scientist Shafarik/ about the value of Ukrainian folk song.

Recently an interesting competition was held. It was a translation contest where we had to translate poems. So I decided to choose my favorite translation of the poem ‘Remember’. There were many versions of the translation of this verse, but here are my favorites.

Today my task is to judge whose translation is the best. So let’s make top three best translations. I’ve read all translations and all of them are good and interesting.
I also want to introduce a special prize for all the people, who translated poems in Ukrainian.

The best lines in the poems of 9th formers
All poems are perfectly translated with plot, and rhyme, but I want to note the most unforgettable lines in the poems of 9th formers.
1st place - Помни, пожалуйста. Ты же и сам понимаешь-
Ни молитвой, ни советами уже ничего не исправишь.
(“Помни меня” Анна Гайша 9-в)
These lines are full of feelings. I don’t know but maybe this girl has already felt love or pain of love. It’s well done. Even I have tears!

Today I read a lot of translations of English poetry. Every work is worthy of the first place. Then I decided to choose only 3 translations.

The first poem, which I liked, is “Skylark” by A. Sydorchuck. When I read this translation, my heart was swooned. I can quote some lines:

И я молчал, вдыхая пенье,
Боялся стать причиной тишины…
Теперь тот жаворонок – твоё успокоенье,
А я вот просто – голос пустоты.

I have just read my classmates` translations of poems and essays devoted to our motherland. I was impressed by the fact, they the really can write and even well. I`ve read Marina`s poem under the title «Keep». I admit that this translation is very close to the original version. It contains typical rhythm, which sounds very good.

Unfortunately I managed to read only the translations of my group. I loved all the poems.
I liked the poems of Andrew because his translations were allocated, they are written in the Ukrainian language.
In the Mary’s poem "Помни меня” I found good advice: «И если на миг ты забудешь меня, Не оставляй осадок, в памяти храня. Рассеется тьма, и грусть вся уйдёт, Когда душа твоя покой обретёт, Пусть лучше улыбка сияет всегда, Когда одолевать тебя будет тоска.»

Планировал счастьем окутать меня.
